Apple just announced the new iPhone 3G S, the fastest iPhone ever. S is short for Speed, according to Apple.

The phone is available in 16GB and 32GB and in colors black and white. It will be available by June 19, 2009 with a price of $199 for the 16GB and $299 for the 32GB.

Upgrades include a faster HSDPA connection of up to 7.2Mbps, voice control, 3MP camera with video recording and a digital compass.

Globe Telecom is reported to be offering the iPhone 3G S around the middle of July.

The Samsung Star (S5233) is Samsung’s newest entry-level full touchscreen phone to be available in the Philippines. It has a retail price of Php10,500 but some stores sell it below Php10,000.
